Dear Athletes
The Epsom Downs League commences next Sunday 5th November. The League will run on the following dates Sunday 5/11/2017, 3/12/2017, 18/2/2018, 4/3/2018 In previous years we have great results for both teams and individuals however in the last couple of years we have only had a few runners in attendance. As a club we want to give our young athletes every opportunity to compete in all disciplines so please support this. In addition if you don't normally compete in cross country events this is a great opportunity for a longer run for winter training and also a chance to run on the Downs - please talk to your coach re this.. Age groups Male and Female all run together. Athletes aged 8- School year 6 = U11, School years 7/8 = U13, School years 9/10 = U15; Race times U11-10:45; U13-11:15 est; U15-11:30 est. U17 can run non-scoring in this race. Tom Keenan has offered to attend on the day as your Team Manager on the day. Tom cannot make it to the track this week so please let me know at the track or via email and I can pass it on to him. Thank you. Please arrive on the day about 45 mins before your race time to ensure you are booked in and warmed up. There is no cover at the Downs so please wear clothing that keeps you warm/dry whilst waiting around. The meeting point is just below the car park at Tattenham Corner/Old London Road.
