Dear Parents, Athletes Coaches & Committee
The next Lily B match takes place on Saturday 1st July 2017 at: Guildford Spectrum Athletics Track GU1 1UP (Click here to view on google maps) LucyAnne & Karen, your Team Managers for this league have been around to check availability and will do this next week. If you are not at training they have asked that you contact me on [email protected] and I will pass the info on. Please let us know which events you can do (your coach will support you with this) - to enable the club to progress we do need those who are competing to try and do the minimum of 2 events and if possible 3 events that you are comfortable doing and don't interfere with your main event,to enable the club to fill all the gaps on the card. Please also advise if you are available to stay for the relays. The timetable can be viewed and downloaded by clicking here.  At long last, the new website is live!
Huge credit to Sylvia Ofei-Kwatia for her work in putting the site together and arranging for the switchover from the old site. There are still pages that require information, however, I am sure you will find this site much easier to navigate and it will certainly be a lot easier to keep up to date with all things SADAC. If you spot a mistake or have a suggestion for an improvement, please email Steve O'Sullivan (webmaster) in the first instance. We welcome you, as club members, to contribute the site as it is for you and everyone associated with the club. We are well into the summer season and there have already been some outstanding performances. Please keep Steve posted with news and results so that he can update as quickly as possible! The club put in a bid for kit carriers at the IAAF World Champs. Emails were sent to all those who fitted the eligibility criteria set by the organisers in January. We are pleased to announce that we were successful in this bid and will have 10 athletes acting as kit carriers attending the IAAF World Championships. For security reasons the names cannot be released yet. We have also been given the chance to do the same at the World para games. As before emails have gone out to all those who fit the eligibility criteria set by the organisers. If you have yet to respond to this email please contact the club urgently as we still have spaces within this team. You have to be aged between 16-18 during the dates of the games. Any volunteers i.e. Committee, Team Managers, Coaches, Officials, who help at the club please do contact if you are free to be a supervisor for the Para Games. Dates 18, 20, 22, 23 July. You must have a DBS. Please contact Mandy on [email protected].
