Competition Officials
Please support your club by becoming an athletes official (you chose the discipline whether track or field). The club desperately needs to increase our numbers of officials as on some occasions this season we only had one qualified official in attendance and at one match we had none. The more officials we have means we can also share the load for our existing volunteers officials. A number of our coaches are also officials so please consider taking a course so they can watch the athletes.
The club should attend League fixtures with at least one track official and a team of field officials (min 3). If the club does not provide officials at a competition we will not be able to compete so it is vital we build our numbers of officials at the club. It is a worthwhile and interesting role and also gains points for the club.
The club will support with funding for offiicials courses. Please contact Mandy Walters, [email protected], before booking onto a course, so that she can inform you of the next step in approving the funds and also what the club requires back in return for supporting you with funding. Of course if you want to fund this yourself then please do go ahead and submit an application.
