​Surrey Sportshall - It was great to be able to return to compete at the Surrey Sportshall which took place at Guildford Spectrum Centre last month.   We were able to field an U13 Girls team consisting of Nicole, Kiana, Amy, Emily, Siara & Darcie -  the girls did very well against some very strong opposition.  Thanks to Colin who stepped in at the last minute to Team Manage on the day.  Thanks also to the parents for their support too.  Nicole Williams received the best time overall for the 4 lap and Vertical Jump and Emily Scantlebury came 2nd overall in the shot.  Results are still being finalised as a huge turnout at the Surrey Sportshall and the organisers are awaiting on results confirmation.  The link to the results will be available on http://www.surreyathletics.org.uk/sportshall/index.php.

The next competition will take place on November 26th and we hope to be able to field more teams of both U13 & U15s boys and girls at this fixture  which may give some of our athletes an opportunity to go on and compete for Surrey in other competitions.

The Surrey County AA Bruce Judd Cross Country Relay Championships take place on Saturday 28th October in Stoke Park Guildford GU1 1TU.

Teams comprise 3 athletes in each age group running approx 2.5k each. A course map is attached here.

The times of the races are as follows:-

U13 Boys        1.00pm
U13 Girls         1.35pm
U15 Boys         2.10pm
U15 Girls         2.45pm
U17 Men         3.15pm
U17 Women   3.45pm

Please find attached a provisional winter fixture list which details cross country and sportshall Club events and also a number of opens and national competitions (the fixture list will be amalgated into the Calendar as soon as possible too).

Your coach will talk with you directly regarding any of the opens/national comps etc.
 
Please do contact Maureen & Nick Hancock at the track if you would like to compete in any of the cross country fixtures and  Mandy or Miriam if you are free to take part in Sportshall (U13/U15 girls and boys).  Please note Sportshall and Cross Country are the age groups pre September.
