Match 4 – Kingston 2nd September…we are waiting to hear if we are in the final or the plate!
There has been a great team spirit at the Lily B matches so far this season. As well as doing their favourite events, athletes have also tried new events to score points for the team. The older girls have encouraged the younger girls and in particular have helped them warm up before their events. The new Sutton and District gazebo has helped foster a supportive atmosphere and a sense of pride in being part of the club.
U11: Well done to Amelia James who came to matches 1 and 2. She achieved a PB in both the 75m and 150m at Croydon.
U13: There were debut performances from Nicole Williams, Sophie Ajuka, Miriam Matata, Lara Barker, Holly Hume, Sarah Blencowe, Amy McQuitty, Katy McGrath and Siara Kuba. Experienced members from last season included Darcie Cook, Grace Jewell, Emily Scantlebury, Kes Hodgins-Peka and Maya Kelly.
Special mention to the following:
Kes has taken part in all three matches, competing in a variety of events including hurdles, 100m, discus, long jump and high jump. In Croydon she matched her high jump PB of 1.48m

A big thank you to all our coaches and officials without whom none of this would be possible and also thank you to parents for their support.
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ON 2ND SEPTEMBER!
