We expect all our members to commit to regular training and to compete in at least 75% of the league competitions they are eligible for. This will be reviewed regularly.

Development Group - U11-U13's Tuesday & Thursdays (6pm-7pm), following the 365 programme.
Sprints - U13+ Tuesday & Thursday (6:30pm-8:30pm) and Sunday mornings.
Middle distance & cross country - U13+ Tuesdays & Thursday (6pm-8:30pm) and addional sessions specified by the coaches.
Throws - U13+ Wednesday (6:30pm-8:30pm).
Long jump & Triple jump - U13+ Thursday evenings (6pm-7:30pm).
High jump - U13+ Tuesdays (7pm-8pm) plus an additional Sunday session as specified by the coach.
Pole vault - U13+ training is on Thursday (6pm-8pm) and Sunday mornings.
Hurdles - U13+ Tuesday & Thursday (6pm-7pm) plus an additional Sunday session as specified by the coach.
All our coaches ask for commitment to a minimum of two training days each week, depending on age or other arrangements made with your coach.
To enable safe training we recommend the following:
Water to ensure hydration before, during and after training.
A small healthy snack for refuelling after training.
Please ensure the coach is aware if the athlete is taking any other medication at the time of training and that you are aware of the policy on medication. It is vital you check that any medication you are taking is not on the England Athletics anti-doping list.
Medication such as asthma pumps. Please make sure the coach is aware if the athlete has asthma. If a pump has been forgotten for training, training can be adapted to accommodate this. For your information, coaches under UKA rules are forbidden to offer pumps to athletes that are not the athlete's own prescribed inhaler. If you are able to provide a named pump, we can keep this locked in the clubroom for emergency use.
Spikes or suitable footwear, not plimsolls.
Suitable clothing for training in any weather, including sunny, damp, rainy and winter conditions.
All athletes aged 12 or under must have a parent present during the whole training session.
