Keith DawsLike a lot of coaches, Keith started his relationship with athletics when his daughter Haylie joined the club as a middle-distance runner, over 30 years ago. Later his interests moved to throws and he became the head throws coach at the club. More recently he introduced his young granddaughter to the delights of athletics at a young age and she followed her mother into the club, as a sprinter and long jumper.
Keith continued to coach our latest batch of athletes in the finer arts of throws until, following a short illness at the age of 63, he sadly passed away. A heartfelt tragedy for his family, friends and the athletes who turned out in great numbers to celebrate his life on the 25th June 2019. A dear member who will be missed by the Club. R.I.P. |
